| The Mersey Soccer Club of Berkeley was founded in 1985. The aim of the club is, by providing the most talented coaches, to create the best soccer program for kids in our community.
This is the one time in the year when we host open tryouts for players who may wish to be a part of the Mersey Soccer Club. We will have a limited number of spaces available in our boys competitive program. We would like to invite kids who wish to be a part of the Mersey organization to tryout for these teams.

The Mersey Soccer Club offers a competitive level of soccer that matches the needs of the multi tasking kids of the Berkeley community. Our traveling teams program is ideal for players who want to challenge their athletic abilities and still have time to attend to other priorities
Traveling teams soccer is played in one of three leagues CCSL (California Costal League) NORCAL or ACCYSL (Alameda Conta costa league). There is ample opportunity for motivated youngsters to sharpen their skills in one of these leagues.
The Mersey Soccer Club's coaches are soccer enthusiasts who have played on competitive teams either here or abroad. They are keen to share their insights on how best to play soccer with eager students.

Expectations of the traveling team players
Players are expected to play during spring.
They are expected to sign up for summer camp in August (August 6th,13th)
Participation in away games may require traveling to other cities.
Parent and player must attend pre- season meetings.
Team games are very organized so players are expected to attend all practices and be in good physical shape.
