Ages 6-7 years (U7-U8)
Our youngest Mersey League players continue to hone their basic soccer skills, while having fun on a team.
One weekday 1-hour practice
One weekend game
Game details: 4v4 or 5v5, no goalkeeper; four 10-minute periods or two 20-minute halves
Ages 8-9 years (U9-U10)
At this stage of development, players will learn about team formation and shape. Players begin to process the importance of spatial awareness and begin to understand that “clumping” is not the best way to play soccer.
At Mersey Soccer Club, we believe in fostering a sense of unity and pride among our players. As such, a Mersey uniform is required for all players, and can be conveniently purchased here.
